Bridgeport State Recreation Area is located approximately 1 mile northwest of Bridgeport Nebraska, in Morril County. It has approximately 78 surface acres of water in several sandpit style lakes. Powered boating is allowed on the central main lake.   The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists the lakes as being stocked with Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, and Walleye.   Bridgeport State Recreation Area has facilities which include primitive camping, dump stations, fresh water, restrooms, picnic facilities, and boat ramp access.
