Burchard Lake is located approximately 4 miles northeast of Burchard, in Pawnee County, Nebraska. The lake is approximately 160 acres, and is closed to the public during waterfowl season. All boating on the lake is restricted to 5 mile per hour no wake limits.

The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists the lake as having good populations of Bluegill, Bullhead, Channel Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, and Yellow Perch. Anglers should note there is a 21 inch length limit on Largemouth Bass.

Facilities at Burchard lake are primitive, with only restrooms, parking, and a boat ramp. It should be noted however though, that the surrounding area is very beautiful wildlife area teeming with natural prairie, and some sections of deciduous hardwood forest.
